espiritu de pueblo

After living in Troncones and Majahua for several years, I began photographing the people who make this place what it is.

These black-and-white images capture small, everyday moments — fishermen, musicians, families, celebrations, and work along the coast. Together they form a portrait of village life and the spirit of the community.

Black and white allows light, texture, and expression to carry the story, revealing the character and resilience of the people who live here.

The series was first exhibited at a Las Hermanas fundraising gala supporting youth education programs. A second set of prints now hangs at Las Brisas for the community to enjoy.
