ABOUT BOB
Robert Celecia Photography brings together three distinct bodies of work, all rooted in life on the coast of Troncones and Majahua, Mexico.
Portraits in Paradise offers custom location photography for families, couples, and groups — from reunions and retreats to quiet moments on the beach at sunset. The focus is simple: natural, relaxed photographs that reflect the experience of being here.
The Digital Paintings begin as original photographs and are transformed through a layered, painterly process into bold, colorful works designed for contemporary interiors. Each piece is available as a print on canvas or metal.
El Espíritu del Pueblo is an ongoing black-and-white portrait series documenting the people of this community — everyday moments, work, celebration, and life along the coast. Prints from this series are available, with proceeds supporting Las Hermanas Troncones and Surfers for Strays.
Robert Celecia is a Brooklyn-born photographer and filmmaker who spent more than forty years directing and shooting television commercials in Los Angeles.
After retiring from commercial filmmaking, he turned his focus fully to photography, documenting the people, places, and everyday life around him.
He now divides his time between Majahua, Mexico and the Madison Valley of Montana. His work reflects a filmmaker’s eye for storytelling — capturing quiet moments, character, and the atmosphere of a place.
Robert studied visual arts at Boston University and is the recipient of two Emmy Awards, three NIMA awards, and two Clio awards for cinematography.
