WORDS FROM CLIENTS

An important function of photographers is to add fragrance to our existence. Just as the main function of painting is to sweeten the image of our lives, Bob Celecia understands this, and my portrait taken by him is a great achievement for both of us.

Working with Bob for Sol Full Foods was an absolute pleasure. He is a true pro and immediately puts you at ease. He captured both me and my food in a way that feels vibrant and true to the spirit of the brand. The images have been a huge asset to my business, elevating our visual identity and helping us connect more deeply with our clients. I couldn’t recommend him more!

Bob made us comfortable throughout our very first shoot. He was great at providing direction and making sure we were styled correctly, looking perfect for the camera! The photos were gorgeous, not over edited, natural in tone, and the gallery he included a blend of color and black and white images. Bob will continue to be a photographer we use to capture our family for many years to come!

-Emilie Wagner

Bob took beautiful family portraits of us on the rocks at Punta Majahua — me, my husband, our three-month-old baby, and my parents. From helping us choose what to wear to gently guiding each shot, he made everything feel easy and natural, with lots of real laughter along the way.

It was a special moment to capture, and he has a great way of making you feel comfortable while creating truly lovely images. I highly recommend him for family photography in Troncones.

ABOUT BOB

Robert Celecia Photography brings together three distinct bodies of work, all rooted in life on the coast of Troncones and Majahua, Mexico.

Portraits in Paradise offers custom location photography for families, couples, and groups — from reunions and retreats to quiet moments on the beach at sunset. The focus is simple: natural, relaxed photographs that reflect the experience of being here.

The Digital Arts series begin as original photographs and are transformed through a layered, painterly process into bold, colorful works designed for contemporary interiors. Each piece is available as a print on canvas or metal.

Uniquely Mexico is an ongoing, mostly black-and-white portrait series documenting the people of this community — everyday moments, work, celebration, and life along the coast. Prints from this series are available, with proceeds supporting Las Hermanas Troncones and Surfers for Strays.

Robert Celecia is a Brooklyn-born photographer and filmmaker who spent more than forty years directing and shooting television commercials in Los Angeles.

After retiring from commercial filmmaking, he turned his focus fully to photography, documenting the people, places, and everyday life around him.

He now divides his time between Majahua, Mexico and the Madison Valley of Montana. His work reflects a filmmaker’s eye for storytelling — capturing quiet moments, character, and the atmosphere of a place.

Robert studied visual arts at Boston University and is the recipient of two Emmy Awards, three NIMA awards, and two Clio awards for cinematography.
